At our animal shelter, Teca in Mexico, our mission is to provide a sanctuary where every dog embraces freedom, safety, nutritious food, and unconditional love. We strive to be a beacon of hope for the vulnerable souls in our care, ensuring they are nurtured, cherished, and respected. With unwavering dedication, we work towards finding each animal a forever home where they will be treasured as cherished members of a loving family. Our commitment extends beyond sheltering; it promises to foster compassion, promote responsible pet ownership, and advocate for the rights and welfare of all animals in our community. Together, we envision a world where every animal’s journey is filled with warmth, security, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
I am Roberto Ramirez Lazcano, originally from the state of Mexico. Since I was a child I liked animals all my life and I have cared for and rescued animals to the extent of my resources as well as space. I have been approximately 5 or 6 years ago when they lent me the land to care for as well as to make the shelter. At first, a friend named Ruth helped me. Later, I continued alone in caring for the place and the furry animals. I work as a police officer in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. With the help of Mrs. Debra, I was able to continue until Cinthia joined the team. formed into a great team
My name is Cinthya Lizett Paz Urbina, I arrived at the Teca Animals Shelter approximately 3 years ago. I have been rescuing dogs and cats, some birds, for many years, when I arrived at this place and saw the life they had here. My intention was not to stay, but I fell in love with the place and its dogs and I am still here trying to make this a beautiful place so that
they can spend their days here.
Julio Cesar Escamilla Maldonado my profession is Musician. I started contributing to Teca by donating a small amount for the recovery of a dog. Later, my wife and I donated a bag of croquettes. That was when I had the pleasure of meeting Cintya and she invited me to visit the shelter and I accepted the invitation. The start of volunteering began on June 13, 2023. When I arrived I realized the lack of hands that were needed for the shelter’s work: cleaning, washing dishes, etc…
To this day I continue to attend with great pleasure
